Waxing is a popular procedure that can be done very well or very poorly. When choosing a medical spa to perform this procedure, it is important to choose one with experienced and qualified aestheticians. Our waxing procedures are performed by Master Estheticians, all of whom have gone through extensive training and have years of experience.
A chemical peel is a technique that improves the appearance of your face. A chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and peel off. This reveals new, regenerated skin that is often smoother and less wrinkled. We offer a variety of chemical peels including Glycolic, Salicylic, and Jessners. A FotoFacial fades/removes freckles, sun spots, redness from rosacea, spider veins, pore size, fine lines and wrinkles. We recommend 3-5 treatments spaced 3-4 weeks apart. For severe pigment or vascular lesions, closer to five treatments is recommended. Avoid the sun for 2 weeks before and after this procedure. If any photosensitizing (sun-sensitive) medications or topicals or sunless tanners are used, it is suggested to come off 2 weeks before lasering.
Amara Med Spa offers our patients a cost effective solutions for semi–permanent hair reduction for the face and body. It is important to avoid sun exposure, photosensitizing agents and sunless tanners for two weeks before laser hair removal. Avoid waxing or plucking three weeks prior to treatment for best results. You may shave the day of or the day before treatment.
Dermaplaning is a manual exfoliation technique that removes layers of dead skin cells, removes fine vellus hair (peach fuzz), increases absorption of topical products, softens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, allows makeup to be applied flawlessly. This is an excellent treatment for freshening and vitalizing the skin. Dermaplaning is only performed on the face.

Microneedling treats fine lines, acne scars, stretch marks, traumatic scars and improves the skinʼs textures, tone and color (hyper-pigmentation and sun spots). During the procedure, tiny needles are used to create controlled micro-injuries to your skin in order to produce collagen and elastin. Microneedling with Platelett Rich Plasma (PRP) uses the growth factor found from the patient’s own blood to supercharge the microneedling benefits. PRP also addresses under eye puffiness and dark circles to give a more youthful, rested appearance since PRP is derived from the patient’s own blood. Any side effects are virtually eliminated.
Microdermabrasion is a light, painless procedure that gently removes the outermost layer of dead skin cells. Most commonly, it uses two parts: an exfoliating material like crystals that improve cell turnover; and suction to gently lift up the skin, which stimulates your skin’s collagen and elastin production. Microdermabrasion is a very effective way to treat acne, reduce the appearance of scars, fine lines and wrinkles, all while smoothing the texture of your skin.
Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive procedure used to improve the appearance of spider veins and relieve symptoms including aching, burning, swelling, and night cramps. Sclerotherapy involves injecting a chemical solution directly into the vein. This causes the vein walls to swell, stick together and seal shut, stopping blood flow. As a result, the vein fades within a few weeks. Sclerotherapy is performed in office by a Nurse Practitioner and takes 15 to 45 minutes. The number of veins injected in one session depends on the size and location of the veins, as well as your general medical condition.

The process yields natural and beautiful results and has been in practice for two decades. Otherwise known as Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy, PRP Hair Restoration is an FDA cleared, non-surgical hair transplant alternative. This treatment naturally stimulates hair follicles to combat hair loss and urge tissue regeneration.
Reduce your daily mascara and eyebrow pencil routines by tinting your lashes and brows. Our Master Aestheticians blend a custom tint to best match your skin and hair. Tinting procedures take 20-30 minutes in office and last about a month. During the tinting process, a dye is applied to the hair and is left for about 30 minutes, and then rinsed off.
Our lash expert curls your lashes over a silicone rod then paints the hairs with a lifting solution. Your beautifully curled lashes should last up to 6 weeks. The lifted effect also brings out the full length of every individual lash, making them look instantly longer. Add a tint of semi permanent color to your lashes and say goodbye to mascara.
Our expert lash technicians use faux mink extensions, which are applied to your own natural lashes one at a time using a specially formulated, semi-permanent glue that will not damage the natural lash. A full set of lashes takes 2 hours and can be maintained year-round with touch-ups recommended every 2 to 3 weeks. Getting beautiful false eyelashes in St. George couldn’t be easier!
