Dr. Kristin J. Tarbet is a uniquely qualified physician and surgeon having specialty training in both ophthalmology and plastic surgery. Her unique training has granted her recognition and membership into the prestigious American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (ASOPRS), www.asoprs.org. This society, founded in 1969, was established to recognize surgeons who have training and experience in this unique field. There are fewer than 600 national and international members. In addition to rigorous training, membership into the society requires the presentation and acceptance of a formal thesis, plus successful passage of both written and oral examinations.
Dr. Kristin J. Tarbet offers her patients the most advanced techniques available, using her highly trained and experienced eye for extreme attention to detail and finesse.
Facial Plastic Surgery at Amara includes:
• Blepharoplasty – Eyelid surgery, commonly known to surgeons as “bleph,” is used to remove fatty deposits and excess, loose skin around the eyelids as a result of aging and environment.
• Facelifts (full, mid and “mini”) – Facelift surgery is a well-known procedure among men and women experiencing signs of facial aging, such as sagging skin, excess fat deposits, folds, creases, and wrinkles.
• Browlifts – A browlift can help to immediately improve the effects of facial aging including forehead creases, droopy skin over the eyelids, and frown lines.
“My three-year fellowship training provided me the opportunity to learn from some of the most respected leaders in each field. I continue to research and assess the newest technological and procedural innovations in my specialty in order to fully educate my patients and offer them the best care in ophthalmic facial plastic cosmetic and reconstructive surgery.”
